Electric Light
Top,
loaded
from sky to ground
tied between two points
in a bind that bears the weight of suspension
a wheel that tracks this space
between heart and head
I swallow deep in my throat
feeling gravity pull below
humming high and low
my head buzzing in a breakthrough
I have yet to comprehend
Moving at a slower pace
changing shape and scenery
dynamically traversed
through cycles that feel so fluid
in this moment
skimming the surface in a buoyant ballet
slammed off balance
by the fierce force
of demand
I woke in electric light
foraging fingertips
in moistened mud and myceliated membranes
taut entanglement
to the 7th degree
acts in memory
in movement
I shake loose
I recall.
