Lost at Sea
Modern day piracy.
Ahoy, Pirate!
a treasure chest filled
with takings that were not yours
remains
intentionally failed to be returned
I hear your echos lost at sea
carried in winds and waves...
To the next shoreline
(and what comes as it may)
an adventure, a wander, a conquer
upon contenders armed
in the courage and exposure of sun
in shadows worn like capes
wind blown endurance
like boulders that bear the weight of grounding
and, you, Pirate, may climb upon these landings
and you may pillage upon this sacred land,
slippery soul,
stepping upon moss and algae
while clinging to trinkets and trophies,
that without fail sink to the ocean floor
petrified in all that is shed
purified in salt and sea.
